His Word Brings Joy Part One
The Joy of God’s Presence
Have you ever experienced God in a profound way? When you viewed the magnificence of His creation while standing on a mountain outlook or sitting on the sand, taking in a brilliant summer sunset? These moments feel like a deep, joyful breath of His presence as His nearness feels so indescribably close.
Often, I picture myself looking into His eyes or sitting next to Him on the grass. I’m reminded that His Word says He indeed is near, and we have access to Him no matter where we are. No matter what we have done!
I find deep comfort in this truth, and it makes my heart smile.
Matthew 28:20 tells us this nearness is a promise in these last words of Christ on earth: “I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Psalm 145:18 tells us, “The LORD is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.”
Let’s lay claim to these joyful promises.
“Modern man has lost any sense of God’s nearness, but Christianity teaches that God reveals himself through every single thing he has ever brought into being, whether a created object or historical event.”
