Let’s linger this holiday season.
Close your eyes and count to three…
Now open them.
That’s how fast this Christmas season will seem to rush by if we don’t S L O W it down. And that takes a bit of intentionality on our part.
Over the years, I have intentionally lingered in this beautiful Advent season. In the next few blogs, I will be sharing my lingering’s with you.
SAVORING THE SEASON NUMBER ONE:
TEA BY THE TREE…
Or coffee, or hot chocolate …
Back in the days when my boys went to bed before I did, I enjoyed my hot tea by the tree in the quiet hours of the night. These days, I grab a quiet moment in front of the lovely, lit Christmas tree when I can.
This is a sweet time of reflecting on the season’s meaning, to remember days of Christmas’ past, or to pray. Take the time to JUST BE.
“Come, Thou long-expected Jesus,
Born to set Thy people free;
From our fears and sins release us;
Let us find our rest in Thee…”
Charles Wesley
Love this! Definitely trying to slow down and enjoy this wonderful season.
